my 03 viper er has developed a constant whining noise that my dealer says is probably coming from the chain. The chain oil is new, chain tension adjusted, dealer checked everything over etc.The noise started at 350 miles. My dealer says Yamaha's answer is that some sleds develop a chain noise and that is normal, there is nothing they will do about it.Has anyone else had this problem? The sled has 900 miles on it now and just started a bog problem. When you hammer it from a stop the engine peaks out at 7200 rpm and 50 mph.If you let off on the throttle and gradually accelerate it will hit 8300 rpm and 90 mph.I changed the belt and plugs and no difference.Any ideas?
