I'm in the process of getting a new set of carbides for my USI skis. They are an older model TS201 ski so the new dual runner carbides are not offered for them (by any manufacturer I can find).

So, USI is giving 20% off for "pre-season" sales till Nov 30th. I can get a 6" shaper bar dropped on my porch for a maximum of $73. 6" round bar would be about $20 less. Is it worth the extra $20 to go to a shaper bar? I currently have round bar 6" (pretty worn down though). I have 144 pics on my new track by the way.

Can I find the 6" shaper for less elsewhere???

Thanks

Mike

Before my Woody dualies (currently on sled) I had the shaper bars, I thought they worked pretty good, I noticed a slight improvement over the round bars.

I bought a track from this year... Super quick service and awesome to deal with =)

Same goes for Richie Rich

I am running the Stud Boy(?) shaper bars. They are better than the round bars on the trail. I have them on C&A's, but for me (unloading from a pickup) they are a b***h. they back of the bars catch the top of the ramp and the sled get stuck half off. I am going to have to modify my ramp a little bit, me thinks.

I have the 6" shaper bars with Berstrom ski savers 1/4 on my C&A Advantage skis and really like them. They handle real well and last. I have over 2K on them and they still look good. I bought another pair at the snow show from the owner of USI for $65. Richmotorsports is also a great place to buy stuff, give him a call.
