Does anyone know if someone sells a kit to rebuild the front scissors type suspension on the old Phasers or Exciters. Bushings, shims, bolts, etc. or do you have to go to a dealer to buy each part individually? Thanks for input and BE SAFE, HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are several options. I would look at Dennis Kirk, ShadeTree, Royal Distributing, JR Graham, or any of the many other mail order shops.

There is aftermarket kits that have different thickness washers in them to remove "slop" in the front scissors. Other than that kit, I think you have to get everything through a dealer. I tried removing the bolts in mine and they're seized in the bushings. One of these days I'll get nasty with it and rebuild it. I just put up with the sloppy steering for now.
