Just bought a 03 mtn viper, it is a brand new hold over with a 159", really hated to get rid of my mountain max. My question is what kind of pipes would you guys recommend, and how long should i let the engine break in before i was to install them?

Thanks :yam:

I have bender triples, Only ran with them for 20 mins and had to put the sled up for the winter, they work really well..... Ya i hear they have a bad timing Spike Around 8,600? or 8,700?? someone correct me of im wrong.

well, i'll throw my vote in the ring. i love my slp pipes. and the guys at slp are mountain riders. my slp's rock. fit awesome, quiet, alot more power. ski

I did a lot of research on the different Viper triple pipe options over the last few years, and although I didn't run any of them the consensus was that the SLP's should give the best reliability. No need to let anything "break in" as far as pipes goes, just be sure you are jetted safely for the conditions.

have to say when I was looking for Used pipes I wanted SLP or CPR bought a set from Ding (CPR's THANKS Ding) If I was buying new I would go CPR then SLP BUT the ONLY reason I say that is I like the sound of the CPR triple silencers. If not for the sound I would go with SLP, sound's like they are more forgiving and make just as much usable power
PS would not brag about CPR tech help, called several times and they acted like I bought them used and should ask the guy I bought them from, for the help
they also said they only new jetting clutching for flat land ( which disapointed me )
if SLP can help better in the mountains that would be a BIG plus
of course that just my opinion for what its worth
