just about to install a genuine Yamaha ULTRA skid plate on my 02 MM 700... There are three factory holes at the trailing edge of the skid plate for rivets... I'm afraid to drill these out on the belly pan because I simply don't know if the water hose or heat exchanger will be in the way..
I've never had an engine out on a 700 so I don't know how deep the heat exchanger is nor do I know the hose routing in the bottom of the belly pan...
the factory holes on the skid plate are about 2.5 inches from the trailing edge of the skid plate....
Can I drill these holes or will I hit something?...
any help is appreciated..
