hey my 01 srx will only top out at about 106MPH. it is fast as hell but hits a wall at 106. i bought this sled from a dealer who raced it. is it possible he geared this thing down and never put it back? my set is currently, heel clickers with red spring, 51/43 helix and 8400 RPM. 192 studs with viper shocks on back. stock track and drivers. let me know what you guys think. thanks
It has to be geared down if you are pulling the right RPMs and have the stock track and drivers in there. Heelclickers will slow you down if you are not clutched right, but it sounds as if you are. I would open the chaincase and see what you have got in there. I was running 22/37 gearing in my 99 SRX last year but went back to 23/37 this year. Not much of a difference, but even when I was only pulling 8000rpm with my Heelclickers last year with lower gearing I could still see 110 on speedo.
