I took the pipes off my sled and sent them to be bead blasted before repainting them. The guy who blasted them cut all the clamps holding on the heat sheilds because he couldn't figure out another way to get them on. I was just wondering if anyone knew another place i could get clamps that would work (like a hardware store or Canadian tire or something) or would i have to get them right from the dealer?

When I had my stock pipes ceramic coated I ran into the same issue. I was able to compress the heat shields a bit and slide the bands off of the shields. I reversed the process to put them back on. The bands are actually stainless steel ties made by a company called Panduit. They are a one time use band. You can buy them from a Panduit dealer but I think they come in 25 piece quantities and if I recall they were between 3-4 dollars each. I did not find the bands available from Yamaha as a replacement part. The bands have a Panduit part number on them.

just use a worm clamp hose clamp. They make them huge, like up to 6 or 7 inches diameter. just use them, and put the actual gear part ont eh bottom. should work just fine

You can also get those stainless stell ties from Fastenal stores too, and they will usually let you buy in individual quantities. FYI.
