Is it just me or can you "hear" when a srx is idling just right? When I bought it, it was idling around 1400-1450 rpm, almost a little too consistent. Then I warmed it up some more, just riding around the house, still the same, then I adjusted the idling screw, bringing it up to 1700 rpm, still too consistent. Then I rode some more and gased on the road, a little better, adjusted some more.. and there it was, the "srx idling". It should be around 1700 or 1800 rpm, going up or down a 100 rpm, not too consistent, it should idle like that. If it stays at the exact same rpm, it sounds kind of artificial. Am I crazy?
Forgot to add that at the start of the season, my old srx (the 98 I had) would just not idle right before installing a fresh set of plugs and ripping a little on the river, If I had adjusted the idle higher, then I would have to adjust it down again. Still crazy? Because I think the same will happen again.
you think thats crazy... when my sled warms and is idling just right, the right ski handle shakes. not the left just the right. a houndred rpms one way or the other and the shake stops. maybe im just loosing it??

I have mine idle around 1300-1400 rpm. Like Roach said when its idling there my ski tip shakes and my windsheild shakes. Just barely touch the throttle and it stops and is smooth as silk. Mine is rarely idling anyways

You found the skis natural frequency.
