Anybody now about piston wear limit for srx 600.
I just bought it and it has about 5000 miles.
The owner before me had a breakdown, and put in a new crank and a new middle piston. About 1000 miles from now. On piston 1 & 3 he only change rings. I wonder why they didn´t put in new pistons in all cylinders.
So i measure them and found this: middle piston 63.87mm piston 1 & 3 63.83mm. Is this OK? (stock yamaha pistons).

What did you use to measure them?
piston
I don´t now what it´s called in english (I´m from sweden) but in sweden we call it a micrometer and it has a resolution of 0.01mm, I think it´s the right tool for the job.

pisto clearance
piston to-cylinder clearance is 0.065-0.07 mm (0.000256-0.00726in)
<limit> <0.07mm (0.0295in) to measuring piston 63.932-63.944mm (2.51700-2.51748in) measuring point is 10mm (0.39in) from the bottom of skirt these are the measurments for a SRX 600 if you need the 700 let me know I have a service manual darvell@jam21.net
