My battery is dead on my 99 venture. Is there any harm in just keeping it in and pull starting until I can get a new battery?thanks

its probably fine....... just remember that in theory the acid in a drained battery is turning back into water and a fully charged battery is acid....
I'm not very good at explinations but what I'm trying to say is just keep and eye on it because it may end up freezing and cracking open then you may have what ever acid is left in there getting on you frame and other parts of your sled.

Thaw it out and charge it ,then you can do that if it is to weak to crank if
you are keeping that machine I would replace it .Why wait and see what else might go .

I removed my battery and took my Venture out for a ride. The tach started jumping up and down and all of a sudden it broke. I doubt the battery had anything to do with it but thought I would say something.
P.S. battery is back in with a new tach and all is fine.
