2001 venture 500

I'm wondering if anybody has any input on the venture 500, I'm looking at one for my wife and daughter to ride, Will it have enough power? any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Is that a Venture XL? I ask because Yamaha used 2 500s. One was liquid-cooled, the other was fan-cooled.
Both should be good sleds. Not at all underpowered, but not so much power that it's intimidating.
