I recently bought a 02 srx and its all stock except for 196 studs and a bender silencer, I was wondering if I would benefit from a Bender cold air intake or would i be wasting my money?
If anyone has pics of one installed that would be great.

I am in the same situation. picked up an '02 SRX with 368 miles. I was wondeirng about adding a bunch of Bender or Hauck performance mods.
Another member from this site suggested I ride the sled stock first and then decide whether to add upgrades. I'll probably do that but will start adding the upgrades next season.
I checked out the Bender site and the cold air intake seems like a great add; I think the list is around $100.
For $100, I'd try it.

cold air kit!
Waist of time,been there done that,loud in your face noise,inconsistent jetting and you have to cut holes but if you feel you must let me know cause I will give you mine in exchange for your uncut pod.hman.

I second what hman said. I noticed very little if any performance difference between having the cold air kit and not having it. I taped off the holes and now I can run my jetting a bit leaner.
