Anyone put Ski-Doo precision skis on a Viper? Looking for any tips and modifications required. It looks like it will raise the front of the sled a few inches so I imagine the suspension will have to be dialed in again. Putting them on my wifes Viper to help reduce darting and improve cornering. any help would be great.

they bolt right on, might have to add a washer to the spindle to avoid slop. had them on my srx then the viper. they tend to push in the corners or if there is alittle fresh snow on a groomed trail. they almost eliminate darting but, it comes at the price of loss of cornering if you are at all aggressive. pull the limiters way up to give her as much ski pressure as it needs to help corner. set the toe at zero and the camber so both carbides sit flat on the floor together. ski
Thanks for the info. What did you do about the rubber between the ski and the mount. I bolted the skis on, but they can tip forward. This could cause the front of the ski to go nose down and catch on something. I was going to cut some extra rubber rectangles to put under ther so they cannot tip forward.
I am an aggressive rider and love the way the precisions corner on my Doo. It does not push at all, but I took some time dialing it in.
Thanks

get a pair of rubber bumpers from a zx chassis with prescisions those fit in the viper and bring the keels up to where they need to be.
not sure on the simmons, you'd have to ask someone who runs them, i am sorry. ski

I noticed the same thing as eric when running these skis, they are GREAT for eliminating darting but really push in the corners.

i used them on mine and tried many different ways to set tow and shim the rubber and found them to be a poor all around ski. i liked the viper s ski with shaperbars. set the front end up right and it will not dart.
