Hi, my friends 2001 MM idles rather high all the time, you have to blip the choke to bring the idle down from 4000+ to 2200 or something which is also too high. It also stumbles when you give gas if you have ridden and stopped for like 10 minutes or the motor is cold. I know I asked this question before but I forgot the answer. Can these 2 things be correlated? How to fix it?
thanks

are the carbs clean? Dirty pilots will do this. Does it have reed spacers or the reed stopper notch? This helps out a lot for the stumbling in the low end and midrange. As for the high idle, open the fuel screws to 2 turns out from lightly seated position and it will fix that.

im guessing your freeplay for the throttle cable is WAY to tight......loosin it up a bit and it will be fine....
