Vmax shocks, rebuildable?

None of the stock shocks are rebuildable on a 95 Vmax. Frt or rear suspension. I replaced the rear shock on the wifes 95 600 with a Comet ride-on rebuildable unit some 8 years ago. The shock has since been discontinued but some placed still have some old stock at cheap prices to boot. The overhaul parts still available. If gives a good ride with no more kick and the spring is much easier to adjust.
