Faithful reader of your posts! I run a simular sled to your viper. Bender pipes 8750rpm , reeds , speedwerx head , 22\38 gear, 8 tooth drivers , 1 1\4 track
192 studs, transfer rods, roller rooster secondary 41\37 , 2 clutch kits, heel clickers and heavy hitters. 185 lbs. It's a trail sled but i do some drags to 1000'. I have looked at every heel clicker post on this site. The setups are all over the place! The heel clicker instructions say 4.8 heel ( I can't figure out how to get that much weight in the heel? ) No weight in the middle and 3.8 in #3 .Most of the posts on line say heel weight and middle . No tip weight. It also says in the manual with shallow finishing angles to add more tip weight. If anyone can sort this out i would appreciate it.

First off, take the directions they give you and start a fire in your fireplace with them, thats about what good they are. When you use heel clickers I have found the best results to use heel weight and tip weight, most of the time, there are some exceptions.
In your case since your turning a lower rpm then most viper pipes, you will not use the middle hole, I would try 4.0 grams in the heel with the red primary spring, then about 4.0-5.0 grams in the tip, see what kind of rpm your at and adjust the weight in the tip to get to your goal, your helix is a decent angle to start off with and should work good, the biggest challenge with a roller secondary is to get a good bite on the belt and keep it from backshifting too much/thus resulting in loss of topend speed. The post you are reading for other vipers are the pipes that turn 91-9200rpm and to get a engine to perform at this rpm, you end up with no weight in the tip of heel clickers. You will be able to run weight in the tip only turning 8700 rpm. You can get the heel weight by using the long bolt with washers and run the lock washer on it as well, you can stack them up pretty good on the heel. The whole point of using the heel is for the start/engagement, the more weight you run the harder it grabs the belt at the beginning, and the lower the engagement speed is, I try to shoot for 4000 rpm for snow. You are geared awfull steep with your current set up, it would be a 1.94 ratio with 8 tooth drivers, thats a great gear for 500-600ft drags but no longer then that, you will lose ALOT of top end speed with them. A gear set of 23/37 would be alot better. if you want the cheap way out just swap the top gear to a 23 for now and it will improve some.
