I just purchaced and install a new 1" paddle track on my 94 v-max 600, tons of traction now but sled seems real boggy out of the hole. Would this simply be a primary anjustment ?

You may have to change your gearing.

Engagement is 3800, and the beast will get up to 8000 flat out. I thought that if I was to adjust engagement to 4500-5000 that this would certantly help.

Certainly gearing would be a first step here, although perhaps with all this added traction your drive belt may be slipping. You may want to check your belt squeeze on your secondary.

Are you thinking that I am overreving? If the belt was sliping would it seem bogy? Form a dead stop if you mat it , it seems to bog untill about 5500 them it pulls really hard. Back shirting also seems to good.

...xcuse my brain fart, I confused over-reving with bogging. You could indeed improve your low end bogg with an engagement increase.
