Help!!!!!

i just did teh rings in my sled and i was letting it run and it just back ifred and shut down. when i went to restart it every few pulls it felt alot harder to pull. then i got it to run and it sounder like it had a fowled plug so i took them out and cleaned then cause i didnt ahve any new ones. treyed again same thing sounded liek it was running on 1 maybe 2 clynmders. sched the plugs againg the middles plug was dry and the two outside were wet looked in at teh top of the pistons they looked fine. tryed it again same thing. could one of the rings cought and blew the motor?
 
get new plugs and try ir. Resistor plugs really can't be made work again if they foul. Maxdlx
 
it felt like the motor like hit something tho stoped dead and backfired. i hope i didnt blow the top end. i put my thum on the holes and spun the clutch to se if i ahd presure and i did. but when i take the plugs out and full it over it feels smooth but when im trying to pull it over it feels liek its catching or somthing.
 
false alarm found soe old plugs that wernt bad took a little but once i got it moving and cleaned out the carbon it ran fine. that oen scared me cause it wouldnt even idol or anything on my 500 it would run u just would bog if u gave it the gas.

when it back fired it must have been on one of the pistions that was on the up stroek and it just stoped it dead and staled the motor
 
yup i have done that before as well, bad plug makes it backfire, and if it does it at the right time it can kill it. So how does she run now that you got the new rings in it? What did you end up running for headgasket, two layers?
 
after i cleaned out the carbon goin across the yard it picked up nice. yea im running 2 layers luckly i had a set from my bothers sxr700(twin sled to mine bought at the same time together) so i dindt ahve to buy them. the dealer ship charges liek 40 bucks a pice. frigin ronnies ripoff cycle for u.
 
yea they are expensive gaskets, that is why i dont modify them anymore, the juice isn't worth the squeeze, lol.
