Last week it ran fine.
Then the other day it wouldnt go above 4,000 rpm and sounded like it had a hole in the exhaust.
I check the plugs to see if they were fouled (it has occasionaly fouled plugs in the past).
I took the exhaust off and it was fine. It has spark and the compression is 125 per side.

I agree with Ding.
Your TORS is not working.
Probably the one on the carb.

Well it actually was the exhaust
A seam had separated. I couldnt see it until I put some pressure on the opposite side.
Would that cause it to run rough or do I have two problems? THe seam is separated over about 6" It's on the second bend. THe front right corner of the sled.

Should not make the amount of difference you are describing. Did this engine have a major backfire about the time the trouble started? I would check out the carbs, reeds, intake boots, etc.
