Well i finished puttin my newly painted blue polished / pipes / silencer back on today took about 45 pulls to prime and start the beast fouled one set of plugs out due to whatever was left of the bad gas i couldnt siphon out of the tank and then it ran great i even let it idle for about 1.5 hrs with a little spin now and then in the 3 in of new snow we got last night . Question for you ? My sled was running great but every now and then it would bog at about 4500 rpm only after a wide open burst and if i let the rpms drop down ,then i can gas it and it runs normal any of you had this problem? My thought is that it was getting the last of the old gas out of the carbs and tank . I let my buddy ride it and he came back sayin how much better my throttle responce is and I think he migh be even a little worried about our little race were gonna run 98 srx700 vs 96 thundercat900 My sleds not even studded and i was standing it almost 3 feet in the air on the holeshot (his yard not mine ...lol) Im still shaking I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thundercat 900

clean the carbs and take out the air jet, pilot jet ,and main jets and make shure there not clogged.

i had this problem before. check your choke linkage. and you also may had some gummed up pilots. wouldnt hurt to check the mains either. a little bit of clogging in any of the mains will cause a bog and could leave you stranded!!!

a little bit of blockage in the mains could definately do more than cause a bog, may need a trip to the dealer for at least a piston from running too lean.

the bog you are describing may be the throttle over ride system kicking in. Try adjusting your throttle cable a little looser and see if that makes it any better.

Could be that the secondary clutch is not backshifting correctly. You might be sucking the belt some. Carbs might need syncronized.

Well Its the first time I ran it this year I did siphon out the old gas and I was hoping it was just the last of the bad gas burning out of the carbs it seemed to not be doing it anymore when i put it away im gonna check out the power valves and carbs ,maybe the tors was engaging due to carbs sticking a bit . I tryed a couple of holeshots and she was definitely shifting right 8300rpm out of the hole winding up to 8500rpm or so not enough room to open her up but my arms and neck this morning tell me that she was pullin hard . I set my control rods to full transfer and my skis were coming up about 2.5 to 4 feet off the ground .....FUN FUN FUN .........!!!!!!!!!
