I took my SRX out today and when I come to a stop it idles high for longer than I think it should. It does come down, but takes a few seconds (more than usual).. I thought this was fixable by adjusting the fuel screws. What I don't know is if I am lean or rich. I am assuming lean, and was going to back the screws out 1/4 turn. Just wanted to make sure.. Also...Would it hurt anything to just leave it the way it is? Am I gaining anything by correcting it?

Mine does the same thing always has i wouldnt worry about it unless its like 45 seconds or something . It does take a sec for the clutch to slow down then the idle drops mine stays reved for like 2 or so sec after i let off the throttle then it comes right down

You are lean, open the screws 1/4 turn.

Yes you are lean, open the screws a little and your golden. Or a bandaid fix is to lower the idle to like 1400, but my viper shakes like crazy when I do that. I fixed the screws and set the idle to 1800 and shes smooth as ice.

yup open the fuel screws about 1/4-1/2 turn, that will drop the idle and you may notice slightly better response on the bottom end.

Thanks guys. I didn't want to pull the carbs if that wouldn't cure it.
