to much power

hey i just got this srx and i have replaced both voltage regulators and i cant keep lights in it i need help please and the temp light comes on when i get on to the gas thanks (the two wire regulator is out of a phazer)

so what is the blinking sequence on the temp light?

have you checked the wiring harness under the motor????, sounds like its grounding out and shorting the lights, they do all kinds of goofy things when they ground the harness out, another common lighting problem is the harness for the tailight, seen it ground out and take out bulbs and regulators.

i dont know the sequence on the temp light right now , what duz it mean??
i have the brake light disconnected right now and today i fired it up and the high beam indacator light was working and it has not worked for the past 3 days im going over it tomorow thanks

temp light blinking

It blinks 3 times when you first start the sled, this tells you its working, its the sequence after that you have to watch for, check the tail light harness real good, it might just be the problem if its working now since you unplugged it

when im driving down a feild and i put the throttle to the bar the temp light comes on. when i let off the light goes off

check the wire harness under the motor probally rubed through and is grounding out as someoneelse said possible tail light wire rub through either way it is grounding out some where either use a ohm meter or uncover the wires in the harnesses and check them good wireing problems are fun

I'm with Monkey Man on this one. Mine was doing the same thing. My tachometer would also stop working at times, often at the same time I pinned the throttle when the temp light came on. Does yours do this? Look down between the power valves and the pipes and you will see a wiring harness in the belly pan. The harness goes from the headlight to the belly pan, under the motor and up behind the motor on the right side of the sled. Good luck, they can be hard to find but it should be an easy fix.

i blew it up and i found my problem the stator is pouched the lighting coils are out of it
