Took my 2001 srx to dealer for pre snow maint.,told them to clean carbs, powervalves etc.Sled is mint with 2500 miles, very anal like most of you guys on this thread.Tech tells me these are the worst plug fouling machines you could have. What i don't understand is why all my freinds that own blue say they never have problems, along with all of the great people here at ty.I don't want problems all year long i just want to ride, any tricks or previous experience information would be greatly appreciated...

make sure you are using NGK plugs of the proper heat range ... that should go without saying, reduce idle times if that is an issue, make sure you are properly jetted for your altitude, have you oil pump setting checked and adjusted as needed, make sure your carbs are not having float problems, change oil brands.....
Those are a few ideas to reduce plug fouling, hope it helps

The very 1st day that I switched to Amsoil, my fouling problems went away......and haven't returned.

Ask him who he buys his crack from? If your sled is setup right and you (read DON'T touch the throttle for at least 5 minutes after starting your sled, it wont foul plugs.

starting procedure i follow for all my yamis and no plug fouling (inc one srx). FULL CHOKE to start a cold sled, idle till it starts to drop rpms a bit, flip to half choke til it starts to drop rpms again, and shut off choke completely. you might have to blip the choke to half a time or two after but most times at that point you can walk away. let IDLE till ALL the heat exchangers are warm then a short ride around the parking area to warm the belts and clutches. and you are good to go.
your srx takes NGK br9ECS, install solid type terminal cap plugs only. (screw on teriminal types will fail after awhile even with locktight on the threads.)
do not run any other plug no matter what anyone tells you. yes they are expensive but the yami engineers chose this plug and heat range for the special needs of the srx. ski

Never fouled one plug in 6600 miles on my SRX. Skidooboy's right on the start procedure. Just follow that and you'll only replace them when you think it's time.

I've got a 97SX with 6000 miles on it and an 02 Viper with 3500 miles on it and have NEVER fouled a plug in either one. Hell on my 97 I ran the original plugs 3 seasons. Finally changed em because I felt guilty.

Thanks for the heads up guys, the reason i bought blue again is reliability.I've ran polaris for years and i got sick of bringing box of plugs with me for a short 100-200 mile day.I love the throttle response compared to any other sled i've owned.......... won't ever ride anything again.Bty i did put ecs plugs in it...6.50 a plug price doesn't matter. He did set carbs and clean valves, said they were mint thanks to amsoil intercepter.......LET IT SNOW...THIS BABY REALLY HAULS THE MAIL

skidooboy is dead right,,,,,run the br9ecs....on cold start..."do not touch the throttle after it starts" just do the choke as stated.....I have never "never" had a trouble by doing that.......the only trouble I had was with my srx 600 when it didn't have the br9ecs plug....it would foule a plug ever cold start with the br9es....go figure.....
I watch these guys start there sled up cold and pump the throttle and just shake my head... don't touch the throttle with the choke on...it dumps fuel!
