I've had a set on my son's 2002 Viper for a couple of seasons - they do rock. However it get's pretty crowded under that hood. I've had one burned up power valve cable (they are routed correctly) and some other minor heat damage. I'm planning on sending the pipes and silencer to Bikeman for ceramic coating.
Opinion on pros and cons of ceramic coating? Do I need to do the silencer? Any opinions on Bikeman?

I recommend ceramic coating, i had coated simons triples on my sx 700r and they were great. Pipes seemed to heat up faster than another set without coating, and they seemed to hold their heat better after stop, taking less time to run smooth and clean. Also the underhood temperatures were much cooler compared to my '97 SX with uncoated aaens. However, i dont think that ceramic coating will do much for you in the way of protecting other objects under the hood. The pipes definately still get hot enough to melt anything, i have melted wires and bellypans with the coating. A better way to protect wires and cables is to wrap them with heat reflective tape. SLP sells this as well as Moose and others. Hope that helps!

Thanks. I do have heat reflective and insulating tape all over the place under the hood - especially the cables from the servo to the power valves which lie right darn close to those Benders.

I did have the pipes and silencer ceramic coated by Bikeman Power and got them back yesterday - my dealer boxed them up and shipped them off. Cost ended up being about $350 including shipping. They came back nicely packaged and protected. No issues, they did a really nice job. I'm still occasionally blowing out little polishing beads, though...
