What secondary color should i use for the SRX? I'd probably paint the guage pod, vents, get a different skid plate, etc...

I'm thinking silver, although i've seen white and that looks pretty good... opinions?

I like the Blue, White, Chrome theme myself. White looks real good (belly pan and skis...yea TopGunn..talking about ur sled!) Seen some with yellow accessories, which arent bad. just have to make sure the yellow is not overdone. Here's mine last year with chrome windy and grill inserts. Added polished tunnel and chrome 8" rear wheel kit for this year.

I'm considering blue chrome... if i can find a way to spray the stuff that way, i think that's what i might do.

Any other opinions?

I would go with white over the silver. Shows up better and comments the white yamaha strobes really well. Like NYSRXR said if you go yellow be sure NOT to overdue it. See my avatar, I have all that yellow and now I have yellow handguards too. No more yellow for me or people will start thinking it's a doo.

Krylon Anondized Blue (on the left, obviously)... I'll probably use it on some parts and silver on others.

There's plenty out there... i'm pretty sure the krylon x metal comes in straight chrome (rather than colored chrome).

Like anything though, it's all in how well you prep. You're going to have things hit the windshield at speed, and chances are it'll chip a little bit...

Hey, make sure to paint your windshield from the inside and not from the outside. Also, all of those chrome spray paints you are talking about come out in a dull silver/aluminum look, it will not come out shiny.

Well, i started the conversion this weekend. Drilled out all the vents and sprayed them silver. Haven't put them all back in yet. I threw a couple in there just to get an idea of what they look like and they look AWESOME! I'm going to make a clear low windshield and paint the inside with that blue chrome, that way i can still have my black one if i want it. I wish i had pics, but the sled's up at the lake, and i only get up there every couple of weeks. I'll have pics asap.
