I searched but didnt have any success in finding where Polaris Liberty engines are made and by whom. Just wondering....

So-called "domestic" twins

The engines that Polaris calls "domestic" or "libery" are not 100% made in the USA. They are make by a company called "Robin engine manufacturing". This company is jointly owned by Polaris and Fuji Heavy Industries.
Thats right, I said "Fuji Heavy Industries", the same company that has supplied engine to Polaris since the 60s.
It is true that these engines are somewhat made in the USA. They are ASSEMBLED in Osceola, WI. However the parts are still cast in Japan by Fuji H.I.
Also, the ignition system is made by Ducati. The same Ducati that makes motorcycles, the same Ducati that spends a small fortune every year one warranty claims on their ignition systems.
So when some Polaris owner tries to tell you that their engine is American-made, just smile and say, "Dont you mean American-assembled?"

thanks for the info. I tried a few times over a couple days to get the info their site, and it never loaded up. It kept reloading. (Polaris snowmobile section of their website)
