Just wondering who from this board rides and lives up near Saratoga, NY. I'm heading up there for a two month project beginning Monday and am looking to get some riding in when the trails open up. Haven't been on the trails much futher east than Syracuse, but if someone wouldn't mind showing a fellow yamaha rider around up there this winter, that would be great!

I'm about an hour south of saratoga. Never ridden there. If you go a little further north, Indian lake/Speculator is pretty good. No permit needed. Schroon lake isn't bad either. I go there a few times a year.

I ride out of Saratoga, I'm not sure what the trails are going to be like this year... alot closed before last season... Mulleyville is one of the better trail systems in Saratoga area... but i think we'll be trailering to alot of places this year

Saratoga!!!

WOW!! I grew up in that area of Upstate NY!! I am from a little town called Galway....Back in the 70s when I was a kid there were LOADS of trails all over the place in that area. You could ride from our house in Galway clear up to Wells, Speculator, Indian Lake (camped ALOT there with the family) and beyond if you had the gas. Too bad things are getting more difficult up there. Good luck finding places to ride, it is a BEAUTIFUL area. Too bad the taxes kill you......

Well, I apreciate the replies. I just arrived up here last night and will be here until sometime in late January. Being that I have to trailer my sled from Syracuse up to here anyway, it wouldn't be a problem having to go a little further to get some riding in. Once the trails get enough snow and begin opening up it'd be cool to meet up with some people to ride with and put a face to a name. Let me know if anyone would be interested. Even riding in the Sacandaga lake area wouldn't be that bad.
