Im installing larger front idler wheels on my -01 Srx now. From 130mm stock to 135mm wheels.. That is the right wheels to help the sliders right?

The thing im wondering about is that I have gotten my hands on an spare axle with two idler wheels on. Like the one that is located in the rear of the skid with two wheels in the middle..

I would like to install that one in the front between the two pairs of wheels.. Anyone tried that or seen anything like it? It might be a problem when the suspension bottoms..

I would compress the suspension and see if their is enough clearance. I think the w-arm and shock might hit. Worth a try!

As usual when you are messing around you find broken parts.. One of the bolts that holds the lower axle for the suspension had given up on me =(

Anyway, as the pic shows is how im fitting the axle.. It would be nice to get it further forward the rail bend but there are no room for that.
As there is only ice to drive on here at the moment I think it will help. The track has studs only in the middle so it tends to press the track up quite a lot between the rails adding more pressure to the hyfaxes. This will prevent that thing ( I hope ).. I have to get it fixed and try it out a little.

SRX HELP

if all you do is change the front 4 wheels with polaris wheels and run your track loose thats all you need. You should have one inch of free space between the clips and the slider

I noticed other things that break on Yamaha =(

I did a little jump today when i was out driving.. About 100km/h on the ice and there were fresh powder. Suddenly I flew about 20m, landed on the back of the track, bounced back into the air, then I think I flew of the sled.. But that thing took a third bounce, and ended finishing its act with some kind of flip. Didnt see because the snow in my helmet when I was rolling on the ice. When I got back up I almost started to cry..

1 of the backwheels and the tach meter layed in front of me.. The track was of the skid. No windshield, Havent found the lamp yet. The steering bar "modified". Both the steering shaft and the bar its mounted to looks like a banana. The top pipe was flat and so on..

And as a bonus my legs hurt..

Anyone else that have crashed this year?

I broke the same w arm/shock mount parts on my sled last year  . It was still under my 3yr warranty, and yamaha gave me some free-b's! For having 7,400 miles on it, and still being covered, I'm not complaining!
