Fitch Fuel Catalyst, and regular gas in 2stroke

After reading many threads on the Fitch Fuel Catalyst on TY and 4stroke forum, I bought a set. I bought one set for two sleds (SRX and RX1 Mountain). I will just drill a hole in the white insert thingy in the gas filler neck and hang them from there. I will trade the white insert from one machine to the other rather than buying two sets at 75 bucks a pop (I am poor and cheap).

I am not doubting that these things will work (I just bought them), but my question is...

Can I run regular gas when using the FCC in the SRX??? The package says you can use lower octane fuels, but I am kinda nervous. I don't want to pay the price for premium gas because it is a fortune around here. The sticker on the hood of the machine says premium gas only.
 
Fitch Fuel Catalyst

I've been using the Fitch Fuel Catalyst for about four years in my snowmachines and PWC. I have stopped using Stable but still continue to use premium gas (they contain superior cleaning agents, especially Shell V-Power). All my machines run great have no complaints, however the product rep told me that the Fuel Catalyst will only last for around 5 years.
I was very disappointed, I thought they would last alot longer.

Did you hang yours or just drop them in the tank?I have been curious if it would cause problems if there banging around in there.
 
I hang them from the white insert at the filler neck of the tank. I drilled a hole in the insert and hung the catalysts using wire. I take the insert out from one sled and then drop them into the other machine when I take off with it. Saves me from buying two sets and they aren't "lost" in the tank.

wish i had thought of that when i bought mine. i tossed them in the tank 3 years ago and never saw them again.
i was under the understanding that these things would last the lifetime of the vehicle.
pretty sure that the website claims that for a recreational vehicle.
as far as fuel goes it is always better to be safe then sorry. i would stick with premium fuel.
