I have 1100 miles on my new out of the create 2002 SRX. Like allot of people I had the DCS light come on during my first ride. I brought it to the local dealer, he took it out and the light came on any time the sled went over 50 MPH. After a few phone calls to Yamaha, they informed my dealer that they are in a region of the USA that mandates 10% ethanol in all the fuels sold, even premium. SRX's don’t like ethanol. They assured me that if I bought fuel anywhere north of the Ill./ Wis. boarder I would not have a problem. Well guess what... they were absolutely correct. I have not had a problem since. Just read the pump. If it says it contains ethanol you better load it up with octane boost ( I carry one in the back of my sled). Anyway, This sled hauls ass. I took 1/2 inch out of the control arm spacer, Hy-Tech Enclosed roller secondary and 911 primary kit. This thing is ferocious. It comes out of the hole like the space shuttle taking off. This sled handles very much like my SX700. It might weigh a little more, but all you have to do is get off your lazy ass and get to the gym. Well gotta go.....Later.
