Just got my new Pro Colored idler wheels for my 99 SRX. These are the four 5.125" front wheels. Problem is they don't fit. The bearing ID is smaller than the originals, so the metal bushing won't fit in them. This bushing will also be too long since I won't need to use the plastic adapters. Maxxperf did not offer a different bushing to use with these wheels, do I need to sand these ones down and cut them shorter??? I was hoping this was a plug-n-play swap. Any help is appreciated.

You need the mounting kits for those wheels. Maxx Perf part # is SMA-WHEEL-00KT this is also a Yamaha part # SMA-WHEEL-00-KT. It is a new bolt, washer, and nut/collar.

Get ahold of 1 trick viper...he just installed his with the same problems. I'm a little confused, I bought the OEM Red wheels for mine and they fit perfect. Put on in about 15-20 minutes.

I will post some pictures of what I did for my Viper in the next couple of days. I used to have the "swirl" wheels on my Viper and it did require the installation kit that Allvipedup mentioned. If I recall correctly, the new wheels have a different bearing. I will post all the bearing numbers as well. The modifications are pretty easy as well.

Thanx guys. My original wheels had 6005 bearings and these are 6004. I'll try my local dealer tomorrow to see if they have them. If not I'll order them through Maxx.

I'm interested to see what you have done before I check with my local dealer.

BadAzzSRX - You will need the kit to adapt properly. I went from identical inside diameters but narrower bearings. You are going from large to small and that is what the kit does. I will still try to post up some pics but I have been busy trying to get ready to ride this weekend.
