HI all !!
just bought an 89 Exciter with parts sled 93 Exciter SX is the parts sled... the guy i bought it from has done some modding to it, the drive cog and braking system ..the top end of the motor with slide carbs, handle bars, skis are all from the 93 SX ... the thing is I keep fouling plugs especially if I use #9 plugs ... its not oil fouling but gas fouling .... 2 days ago i rejetted from 155's to 150's in the main jets but its still the same.... the plugs come out wet wtih gas... this happens even at WOT.. when i put #8 plugs in I am able to feather out the throttle and clean her out .. some times it takes awhile but it will clean out ... cooler plugs not a chance have to change them.. has anyone got any idea what it could be? Input would be greatly appreciated

try leaning it down to the next jet size.

disassemble the carbs. Clean and check them out to see if you may have a loose jet. Also check the choke circut. Chack for free play in you choke cable when turned off. You could even have the floats sticking. Brad

as said the chokes stick on that sled water can get inside the cable from the lever sitting flat on the dash.
