just found a 02 mountain max still in the box, can buy this sled for 6325.00 set up, ready to go , out the door. 300, down and I can pick it up when we get their next month. what do you think, this would be my first mountain sled.

now this is just my opinion................ seems to high to me because as soon as you ride it its only going to be worth what........4000 grand????? Now yes all sleds drop in value soon but hey its an 02.... 4 years old as soon as you drive it once.

I say spend the extra coin and get an 06...........

I have seen 04 and 05 mtn vipers 0 miles on ebay for a little less. My dealer has a 03 rx-1 new for 5800. So compared to that they are high. Maxdlx

Tod, I never thought of it that way, but your right, it's 4 years old, and worth about 4000, the first time I ride it. I think I had better wait, or see if they come down on the price. I have no experence in deep snow at all, how about the vipers, they work as good as the mountain maxes, I just know so much more about that motor, and all of the add ons I have allready will just switch over. well, I don't know. let me know about the vipers, maybe I can make an educated guess with a little help.

I'd go to your dealer with cash in hand, offer them 4500 cash. you'd be surprised how much cash talks. Paul

Second the cash thing, green talks. I had a 2000 MM and an 03 Mtn Viper, I liked the Viper power but the MM would go through the snow with ease and the Viper was a little bit of a challange.

If those are canadian funds then yes it is a decent deal. If that is US funds then that is waaaaaay overpriced. Our dealer up here in alaska at the end of last year was selling 05 mtn vipers for $6000 brand new, and the viper is muuuuuch more machine than an 02 mtn max. More power, lighter, better suspension, and much better track.

You should be able to find used mtn maxes in the paper for much cheaper.

Little high

:2strokes: Thats plenty high, i just bought an 03 mountain viper with a 159 and antirachet drivers with 1 mile on it for $6200, granted i knew the dealer quiet well. I would try to talk them down

I really never figured it out. Some said it was because of the extra weight of the engine. Side by side the suspensions looked almost the same but the MM would go and the Viper had to be ridden hard. Especially in the trees and soft snow. The Viper has been replaced with a Mtn Vector which goes more like the MM did.

You tell me.
