99 srx 700 with shaved head and thick base gasket
clutches are stock new 8DN belt
goes straight to 8600 then climbs to 9000
how much tip weight is stock and how much do I need to add?
I was thinking about 200 rpm per gram is that right?
how do rollers effect maxx rpm, I do have some 14.5's I could put in.
any help would be great

Specs and some info on clutching that 99 is in the Tech Section on the main page side bar. You may need more then just more tip weight to bring it down.

it's usually 100rpm per gram of weight on Yamahas.

You might go with a weight profile that suits your style of riding, heavier down low and mid range, the stock profile is an all arounder.

we had a great ride! we got stuck untold numbers of times, and the back country was crazy fun. the trails were hosed though, oh well

We're planning a ride for Friday starting in Gaylord. It's supposed to be rather warm though, so it'll be limited to low miles, the girls are going too.

Other than that, we've got some vacations coming up, so it'll be mid march before I can ride again, if the snow's good, I'd love to hook up with you again Bozz!
