1 catastrophic failure later.
Top this destruction boys.

1 head now CPR modded
1 jug replacing with good used
1 piston-replacing with 3 new
1 crank replacing with good used.
1 Racepack Avenger III added.
1 Bendi light for checking wash to get this thing dialed

Finally got the engine yanked and have a final destruction tally.

Totally destoyed the mag big end rod bearing, and actually had minor case scuffing where either the loss of bearings allowed the rod to hit the cases or the fragged piston pieces created an interference fit.

On a side note.....
Round head main jets found as found in the viper are sized by orifice diameter rather than flow? true/false

Will be cpr headed, slp triples.
Baseline jetting recomendations to deal with modded head?
Variflow was already installed
Jetting for 0 deg F and sealevel elevation base.

I have the SLP chart but it doesn't deal with a modded head. Wash will be checked.

Thanks,
Erik

BTV come out come out wherever you are

someone's got to have input

With the SLP's run their reccomended jetting at 0 degrees even with the head mod, you will just be that much safer. Also BR9ECS plugs are a good idea and always premuim gas and possibly carry a bottle of NOS racing octane booster incase you get stuck with non-premium on the trail, don't be fooled by other brands the NOS additive WILL actually bump up your octane rating a full 2 points.

Dial in your variflow by looking at plugs and piston wash, then see what EGT that correlates to and from then on always shoot for that EGT

(no trails pack it in pack it out, already ran premium )

(that was my plan no repeat engagements planned) :die:

I'm gonna be interested to see how much water is in the bootom of the tank when I pull it off and drain it before I reassemble. I think I got some fuel with my water on one of my last fillups.
Oh yeah add water separating funnel to the list of new parts, I'm thinking EVERYTHING will go through that now.
