I know the stock 02 suspension was way to stiff and Yamaha replaced them for a small fee, but what did they replace under warranty? All shocks or just the rear ones?

all four. i think the updated rears work pretty good, but the fronts are a little too soft. i would send them to pioneer for a revalve instead.
I still have orig. on my 02 with 500 miles on the sled. I'm debating whether or not to swap them or have them revalved.
Basically I should keep the fronts as is and do something with the rears?

No, the fronts were to stiff, re-valve them. I put a set of re-valved 02's on my srx and i like the front better than my Viper S with Ohlins!

i never rode with the original stiff ones, so i cant compare to those. i can tell you that i have hit some hard *** bumps with the fronts and almost have been thrown off a few times. they are great for normal riding, but could use a little more high speed compression dampening. i have bottomed the fronts a few times, but never the rears. i ride at a comfortable fast pace, not real hard. i weigh 170lbs if that helps.ajviper said:I still have orig. on my 02 with 500 miles on the sled. I've been watching ebay for a pair already re-valved to try before I go selling the Ohlins, so its not out of the question!!Also talked to Bob at Shock therepy about changing some things with the Ohlins(he thinks I should just change the oil Weight) I ll let you know what I decide!maxdlx said:So sell me the front ohlins, i have a set of stockers you could get revalved.
