I have recently installed the viper suspension in my 99 srx and wasn' sure how far i could go. And if i release them more will that bring up the rear end or give me more travel? Thanks.

If you release them, they will produce more transfer, less ski pressure.Depends alot on your ridding style.I think i have about a inch half on mine.thats from the bracket to the end of the bolt.

I would rather be able to turn hard when I need it as apposed to more transfer. What do you think is a happy medium. Or for me I ride semi agressive I would say. Mostly I cruise but when I feel the urge I still want to be able to corner while holding the throttle tight!

Then you need too pull them up more.Go 2 inch. You'll turn well, believe me.

on my other sled (99 sx 700) i put a viper suspension in it, when i set them at 1.5 inch those skis never left the ground, but there was also a pair of slp skis on it if that makes a difference

It doesnt matter if you use 2x4's as ski's, if your skid is set up for transfer, they will come off the ground.

I know this is a dumb question but when u say pull them up that means tighten the tensioner bolt untill it measures 2 inch from end of bolt to tension nut?
