Well I've decided to keep the stock track on my SRX, I've got 96 1.2" studs up the middle right now, it hooks crazy hard on HARD pack and roads. I'm going to put some more studs in. I have 48 chisels plus another 24 carbide studs. I'm thinking about 168, how will that be? When I line up with someone I'm obviously going to make sure I'm on hard pack. What do you guys think?

168 is a real good number for srx's, i run 192 in mine with great results. Are those chisels steel? If so they will wear down very quick trail riding if conditions aren't perfect. Steel wears MUCH quicker than carbide.

I think there steel, they were free so I'm going to throw 48 in with double backers every other pitch, if they wear quickly I'll replace them with megabites.
