I am getting bigger jets for mine (150s) and want know who else is running them and how it affects gas mileage/performance. Any input would be appreciated.

well im running 170's right across the board in my viper, along with 90 pilots.. havnt tested on how she runs, no egts yet and im just jetting it fat so theres no chance in a burn down.. gas milage is HORRIBLE! hahaha da well i'd rather spend 20$ in gas than put a new engine in the thing. still runs strong with that jetting and BAD clutching

what do you get for mileage with your '01 specs? I only get about 12, 13 if i really ride nice. I ride harder than most but some people get 14-15, i'm not even close.

I believe I am running 145 and 146.3. I went one jet size lower then stock on my 2000 srx (leanest year). Everytime I open up the motor the thing still looks pig rich. It really runs nice at this setting and has been running nice for 6000 miles. The cylinders still have the honing marks in them and I forgot to mention that I normally run it on 87 octane. I can get all the way up to 20 mpg with this setup but normally run around 17 mpg.

If I were you I would NOT put bigger jets in the sled. If anything you should run the 2000 jetting. Bigger jets will hurt performance and may foul plugs, gum up your powervalves and hurt fuel mileage. My 2 cents...

I run 147.5-147.5-148.8 with no problems, we ride hard down to -20. What were the stock mains for 2000?

The mains in 00 and 02 were #1-147.5 #2&3-146.3
In 01 they were #1-150 #2&3-148.8
I run the 00/02 jetting down to -30 with no problem, no air box mod!
PS. Thats before the 780 BB kit
