I have a 02 Viper with a 151 track on it. I removed the transfer rods to improve the weight transfer but I have not installed a Mountain Performance transfer kit with the straps and I am wondering if anyone could tell me if there would be any problems caused by not doing this? I have pushed and pulled on the suspension all ways to try and find a problem but I can not see any. Any insight would be appreciated.

I was told that if you remove the rods all together you will need to install some sort of spacers, I was also told that the MPI kit will keep your suspension from folding over. I bought the kit it is only $55 and you still can adjust your transfer to whatever you want.

Itll work fine, took mine off 5 years ago and it has never folded over. Make spacers to put in place of where the transfers hooked on, and if you really want to for insurance, get a piece of strap from anywhere( I used an old gym bag strap on a friends), use a heated nail to make nice holes in the strap, load the suspension a little and rivet it up, youre good to go.

I kind of figured it would be fine because I could not make the suspension go in that direction no matter what I tried. I made a limiter strap kit like MPI offers for less than $10 just because everyone on here swears I would have issues. It is good to hear that someone has went for a while without problems though. I made the spacers by cutting up a set of non-adjustable rods off of my old 97 700SX. thanks for the insight
