I have a 2003 Mountian Viper that is over heating. Has anyone tried using "engine ice" coolant?

The stuff is propylene glycol. It starts to slush up at -23 F. (although won't freeze solid and expand until about -50, according to the rep whom I ran into at my dealer.

Probably great for dirt bikes, doubt it has any advantage in snowmobiles and does have a potential downside in those vehicles. IMHO

hddwgth,
We need some data to help you. i.e. snow/trail conditions, temp, any mods. Are you heat exchangers getting hot in the back? Did you recently change or drain some of your coolant?

If it's overheating on hard pack, install a set of ice scratchers. It will solve the problem in those conditions.

Bleed system several times to remove air, never noticed any. The only mod is to the airbox. The problem started when I changed a hose under the clutch, the coolant has never been changed.
