Definitely cost is a huge advantage and many people just have these pipes laying around. They offer great performance also. The main disadvantage these pipes have over aftermarket viper ones are weight, and obviously the install. MUCH CHEAPER though.

From all the Work, and Money to get everything working better, wouldn't you just say F*** it? and get a set of viper pipes? i looks like it takes ALOT to get srx pipes under a viper hood, i dont see why its that big of a deal..sure the viper pipes might cost ya more $$$$ for gas, but wouldn't ya say **** it spend the little extra in gas instead of all the hassel and trouble of getting everything to fit properly??

O.K. I had Bender pipes to start, switched to CPR's, and liked the power, disliked the mileage! Also the CPR's kinda had a bog down low due to the huge pilots.
The install took one day with everthing in hand, not that bad. Once you hack out the right side belly pan, they fit fine. The hood kinda touches the pipes a little, but with the shields, it so cool nothing melts even without tape. you have to install a resistor on the temp wire going to the gauges, and run a wire to the CDI, grand total of about one hour fer that. It's not that much trouble. Ya gotta have a 2001 SRX box, it's the only one that will work.
As for the power, well ya know the story there, it's awsome, guy i was riding with has a 95 rev 800 and he is toast, no problem! The new 1.5 lug track helps alot too! He was pissed! :die:

the reason i did it was that someone told me i couldn't.

now i cant say i have the only one in the word, oh well i can still be the first.

srx magic, just come up and buy my sled, ill take a stocker in trade and i bet my sled will ride better than any viper with a pro action in it.

OOOPs, I think I was half asleep on dat one! Yea I meant to say 05' rev, holdover from last year, and the clutching on that thing was hurendus! it wouldn't even turn 7700rpm! we had to put the TRA ramp at 6 to even get it to run at 8000.
