I have a 96 phazer 2 and we're going riding in a couple days.... The weather sasy it'll be between 14 and 32 degrees fahrenheit. I know the machine performs better in cold weather and hates the warmer tempatures. Any suggestions on keeping the engine cooled down? I've heard some say taking side pannels off works? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Unless you have had overheating problems before, I wouldn't really worry about it. If the sled is stock, make sure your jetting is within the temperature ranges given on the sticker under the hood or on the belt guard.

i know with the Exciters there are two small plates under the front bumper & a plate under the headlight. Can be removed for warm weather operation

the Phazer II has a air vent in the front bumper make sure it is OPEN, I had to take it off mine to keep it from closing all the time. I beleive there is a plate over the vent under the front of the fairing that can be removed also to let hot air out ( or maybe that was on the Exciters?)

You'll be just fine, there is vents in the right side of the hood that
sucks in cold air to cool the sled.
We've never over heated or PZ yet!!

I run my Phazer all the time with the right side panel off. you wouldn't believe the amount of heat it lets out. Keep the left one on, you don't want snow in the clutches.
