The "ride" benefit of aftermarket trailing arms, and other lightweight front-end parts is minimal unless accompanied with shock / spring upgrades, or changes in geometry of the front suspension. Proper setup for your riding style and conditions can do a lot with the stock parts, but after that the best improvement can be had from new shock / spring combinations. Ohlins, Elka, and Works are all good choices that deliver performance relative to their respective cost.

I have had MPI's chrome moly trailing arms on my 600 XTC and now on the Viper. I dont notice much difference in ride, however there is a noticeable improvement in deep snow performance. The round tube design allows more room for deep snow to flow out between the belly pan and trailing arm, less snow build up in the front end. Its kind of cool to lean over and see the snow flow out, kind of like a wave off the bow of a boat! The lighter weight dosn't hurt either!
