I have a 98 SRX 700 with an overrev problem. I'm running a 51/43 helix, green secondary spring at 60 deg., dalton 55.5 weights and a black/ blue dalton primary spring. Also geared down one on top. I'm studded with 192 trail studs and noticed on hard pack, I'm pulling about 8600 out of the hole and toping our about 8700. Some people have suggested going with a lower rate primary spring. I have attached what Dalton sells for springs. Like I said I have the Blue/ Black. I'm not sure which to go with. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The B/R will get you the closest with out changing engagement as much as the S/B will alltho that spring would get you closer. I used that same primary set up in my 98 SRX except I used an advant-edge 48/40 helix & my rpm,s were 8200-8400 bang on with a green at 60.

Thanks. I'll try the primary spring first and if that doesn't work maybe I'll look at the advant-edge helix. I also took .008" of my heads so I may have gained a couple hp. Could this also cause a bit of overrev?
