98/99 MM600 Head Torque Specs


SX/VmaxTwin Style Heads: 16 ft lbs you can find all this in the tech section. if your heads are leaking, it sounds like you may have other problems like a head gasket leak. if you replace your head gasket, check the head with a straight-edge for warpage.
 
16lbs...holy cow! I tightened it down a bit the other day guessing at 35 lbs just to stop the leaking...and it worked. I must have a warped head!
