Well I was shocked Xmass afternoon when Dad asked me to start his snowmobile... He is currently fighting a battle with cancer, and it has been very tough on the family. Tough for anyone to go through these things, but to watch you father struggle... its really tough. He is really weak, and fighting the best he can. Outlook is not good - we are only buying time here.
Neverless, I rushed to get the ol Prestige running for him so he could take a few laps around his house with it. I think he put on about 4 laps around his 2 acre yard, Thats good enough for me! Here is a quick pic of us yesterday

thanks for the support. Dad and are very close, always have been and always will be. I was looking for a enclosed trailer for my racing this fall, but ended up buying a older 18 passenger bus. Dad took one look at it and said "I can sit in here and watch the races." Done deal, bought the thing and gutted it out, put in a table and chairs for him.... I'll post some pics of that project later.
That story made me choke up!! I hope you and your Dad can spend a lot of time togther. It says a LOT about him being the right kind of Dad that you would do that. He and your family will be in our prayers. Keep your chin up and know that others are pulling for him.

Dad meet my mother while he was skydiving back in 1967. She went out to the airport to see the new "skydiving" and - poof! 2 years later I was born. I proposed to my x-wife while we were in a hot air balloon. Gave the ring and Jumped out at 7000 feet without knowing if she said yes. Dad has just about 60 jumps, while I have over 500 now.
Dad did some cross country racing on a 74 gpx433. Today I race a 73 open mod SR292.
We are very very close. Seems like we are two of the tightest father son teams you will ever meet.

it wont be easy, but just try and enjoy all the times you had together and make some more good memories. you are very lucky for the relationship you have. good luck!

6 inches of new snow lastnight. Maybe I'll ask if he wants to take another few laps today while i'm home
