Looks real good. Get out and test the riser if you are unsure.

BTW...forum rules say not to post the same thing in different sub-forums.

Looks nice. Was thinking about doing the same to my VMax. Other than unbolting the handlebars and cables and such... how much work is involved? Do you need to lengthen any of the cables? Brake line?

With my 3", my brake line is stretched to the max and had to lengthen the throttle cable.

Instalation was easy and straight forward, and is super easy if you have a friend to hold the bars while you mount the riser block. Also, mark your clamps so you know which side is the front and rear. That tip will save some time later down the line..

Yaeh installation was really easy and took about 45min-hour max just becuase you have to drill out the rivits on the grips and drill new holes in the new bars, as for brake lines and that everything was ok the throtal cable is tight it fits but if you wana feel safer get a longer one or the extention kits. make sure you get the pivot kind though becuase you need to bring the bars more forward if you dont bring it forward your throtal cable will be to short. you will like it alot better if your and agressive rider you can control the sled much better. :yrules:

how is the riding position like when u are sitting down?
can u stand up and grab the bars good with the 6" risers? how tall are u

sitting down its kinda weird but its not unconfortable i wouldnt go any higher then 6" if you plain to sit down to and use stright bars to, im 5'6 not that tall so if your taller it would be great for you, standing up its 5 times better then stock its nice

Just for everyones information. I rolled my bars forward on a 2002 V-max about 2" this also lifted them up about 1.5". I really felt it improved the handling and ride (because it moved riding position ahead) No cost, nothing to worry about with cables and easy to return to stock if you don't like it. Would suggest you measure from a reference point on the rear of the sled before moving to get your current location. I used a rivet in the tunnel to the center of the hand grip as my reference locations. This may not be a good idea for short sit down type riders I'm over 6ft.
Note: After doing this the throttle and brake levers need to be re-adjusted to your comfort location. Just loosen and turn very easy to do.
