The pump on my 99 MM600 gave up the ghost after sitting all summer. I'm debating whether to go with a stock replacement or aftermarket. The aftermarket is half the price of course but the tradeoff I assume will be having to deal with maybe different mounting and different length fuel lines. Can anyone share their experience.

Also when I was testing the pump I blew into the fuel line that goes into the tank and nothing happened then something broke loose and air went through. I'm wondering if I blew the filter off the end of the line that sits in the tank. Has anyone tried to change one of this? I seems like you would have to fish it out of the fill hole to get to it.

Snow guy, I have no experience with an aftermarket fuel pump. However, I have thousands of miles of experience with stock ones and its all good. I would ask this site for a used one. If none are available, I would but a new one. Just my $.02.

I bought a new one for $70 and all is good now, the machine has 4500 miles on it so I guess something has to go now and then. Now I'm wrestling with changing the in tank fuel filter. I've gotten a few tips on how to do it so it shouldn't be too bad.
