02 viper hand warmers

[02 Viper]

I have an 02 Viper that I purchased at the end of last season .
I had to replace the stator to bring back the charging system to spec. Now it seems my only problem is that the hand and thumb warmers are only receiving 4.2 volts . When I hook them straight to a 12 volt supply they heat up fine so they are in working order . Any thoughts on what the problem might be...

did ya check the voltage that comes from the cdi box to the reostat? is it more before the reostat? the wires you want to check are white/black and the yellow/white coming from cdi box.

What voltage should they have before the rheostat, and is it RPM specific?
Just picked up an '02, and the warmers are not near that of my 00 SXR.
